Snow Valley Ski Resort is located just minutes
away from the City of Barrie in Southern Ontario Canada.
It offers 18 runs, a half pipe, a terrain park and 8
chutes within the snow tubing park. The resort is served
by the Snow Valley Ski Patrol, a proud member of the
Canadian Ski Patrol System (CSPS) within the Ontario
Division’s Central Zone.
Since its inception over
fifty years ago, the CSPS has had as its mission the
prevention of injuries and the application of first aid
in cases of sudden injury or illness. With a current
roster of over 50 men and women today’s members of the
Snow Valley Ski Patrol strive to promote safety at our
resort and when called upon provide the best first aid
care available.
Every ski patroller
within the CSPS receives nationally recognized training
in first aid and CPR before proceeding to on-hill
training such as lift evacuation, toboggan handling and
accident site management. In addition to the training
which all patrollers must take the Snow Valley Ski
Patrol offers the opportunity
for advanced training and the use of oxygen and AED. Our
commitment to excellence in training and practical
application offers individuals visiting our resort the
comfort of knowing they will receive the highest level
of care available.
First Aid training and
mandatory yearly refresher clinics begin in September of
each year and continue throughout the ski season.
